EDUCATED client(s) about balance, core strength, and stretching.
STEEL BLUE changed my life! Not only did I learn about a strong body, but with Bryan's fantastic knowledge of human anatomy, I learned that stretching both before and after working out is key to feeling that total sense of a ‘body in good working condition.’ No gym I ever previously attended focused so very well on the importance of this part of the workout. Bryan truly helped me to be in the best shape of my life.

I have been in continuous personal training with Bryan Waas for almost three years. My initial goal was to maintain my agility, balance, strength and endurance, which I was sure I could not do on my own. With Bryan's guidance and supervision, I have exceeded all my expectations. He is thorough in his planning, but always cautious. He insists on proper warm-up and session-ending stretching. Each main session has a sound mix of strength work, aerobic exercise, and balance activity. I have been consistently impressed with his knowledge of physiology and have taken advantage of his special capability in deep massage/body work.

MOTIVATED overweight client(s) to lose weight and to exercise.
Results: Provided a disciplined yet creative plan for diet and exercise. Established realistic goals for client achievement, resulting in a 30-pound loss over a 6-month period. Client has maintained weight loss and exercises regularly.
I have been working out with Bryan for five years! I have been continually impressed and appreciative with his planning and flexibility in customizing my workouts and body work to meet my physical needs. I have struggled to live a healthy lifestyle but with Bryan's own dedication to consistent training and steady diet, he leads by example and has kept me motivated to keep coming back!

DEVELOPED a specific training program for an Olympian athlete.
Results: Improved upon athlete’s training by solving a key problem – develop core strength and power without adding muscle weight to a long-distance runner. Client won a bronze medal for the 10,000-meter race in the 2008 Summer Olympics.
REHABILITATED injured athlete(s).
Results: Assessed muscle imbalances and weaknesses following surgery and initiated a comprehensive plan for recovery which included strength training and massage therapy. Client has successfully recovered from back surgery and renewed regular activity, including biking, kayaking, and golf. A second client’s recovery from wrist surgery left surgeons amazed at her unprecedented progress.
DESIGNED a comprehensive program for client who is at high risk for osteoporosis and has post-mastectomy scar tissue.
Results: Designed a comprehensive strength training program while providing periodic myofascial release therapeutic massage. Assessments have shown increase in muscle strength and release of scar tissue; x-rays tests have shown an increase in bone density over the past two years.
DESIGNED a comprehensive program for a client suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.
Results: Developed a program specifically designed to reduce pain and swelling and add strength and balance to improve the day-to-day life of an RA patient. Client has lost weight and added strength and balance, and enjoys reduced inflammation and pain in her knees, and her doctors are amazed by her transformation.
Bryan is patient and understanding and has taken my fitness farther than I thought possible. He knows just how to train me so that I don’t have a flare-up of rheumatoid arthritis. Bryan encourages me to work hard, but also knows just when I need to back off to avoid damage. With RA in both of my knees and hips its difficult to build the strength in my legs necessary to maintain an active lifestyle. Bryan has been able to achieve this with surprising results even to my doctors. I am now able to enjoy the beach again. Thank you Bryan.

SERVED clients’ needs through massage therapy and continuing education.
Results: Worked to educate herself and her clients to best serve their various needs. Clients respond with glowing reviews about massage therapy and more.
Seven years ago I was having trouble with my balance after surgery and a friend of mine gave me some really good advice. She said "you keep falling and hurting yourself and you need to do yourself a favor and go see my trainer." Well, that was some of the best advice I have ever gotten and I often find myself saying the same thing to friends of mine.
